Hamsik happy with Chelsea draw

Napoli’s Marek Hamsik is relatively happy with the upcoming Champions League clash against Chelsea. “We wanted to avoid the Spanish.”

The Azzurri were paired with the London club earlier today after the draw procedure in Nyon, Switzerland.

“The most important thing is that we were not paired with Barcelona or Real Madrid,” the attacking midfielder noted.

“Saying that, we are up against a very strong team. Chelsea are a great club who regularly play in the Champions League.

“It’s difficult to say now how things might go in the game. We’re in December presently and the first game won’t be played until February.

“The only certainty is that Chelsea will be favourites against us, but we’ll give it a go,” he continued.

“For now though our priority is to do well in the championship – starting with Sunday’s game against Roma.

“We’ll think about the Champions League in February...” [Football-italia.net]
