Roma's Luis Enrique very pleased with Lecce victory

Roma coach Luis Enrique has expressed his satisfaction with his side's 2-1 Serie A win over Lecce at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday evening.

Goals from Miralem Pjanic and Fernando Gago gave the Giallorossi a two-goal lead before Andrea Bertolacci pegged one back for the hosts, but Roma held on to their lead without too much trouble, much to the delight of Luis Enrique.

"I am very satisfied with both the final result and our performance. We created a lot of chances and could easily have scored a few more," Luis Enrique said in the post-match press conference.

"The team is improving though. It was crucial to bag the full three points in order to confirm that we are on the right track after our win over Novara.

"We want to become a great side and there is still a lot of work to do. I want the guys to perform like this all season."

Roma's next match is the away game against Udinese on November 25. [Goal.com]
