Marek Hamsik & Ezequiel Lavezzi are staying at Napoli - Walter Mazzarri

Napoli coach Walter Mazzarri believes stellar duo Marek Hamsik and Ezequiel Lavezzi will not leave the club this summer, amid reports both could exit the Stadio San Paolo.

Hamsik has been strongly linked with AC Milan, but the Scudetto winners have denied interest in the playmaker, with supremo Silvio Berlusconi denying any interest in the Slovakian ace.

Tottenham have allegedly been monitoring Lavezzi, but Azzurri president Aurelio De Laurentiis said that no offer had been received from the Premier League side.

As a result, Mazzarri appears to be confident he can keep his best players ahead of next season's Champions League commitments, telling the media: "I think these players will stay willfully at Napoli. They want to stay and have reason to, with the Champions League.

"I want them to stay, but if a player feels otherwise then the club will make a decision. I think these things are down to the owners."

In respect players who may come in during the close season, Mazzarri has clear ideas but refused to name any possible targets.

"I am always speaking with the president's men, with the sporting director and director general," Mazzarri added.

"The club is informed, but we have to remember the financial fair play. There are clubs who have buying power, but we have to move based on what we need."

Napoli finished third in Serie A to earn an automatic place in Europe's showcase competition.
