Tottenham complete signing Sigurdsson
Tottenham have announced the signing of midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson from Hoffenheim on his official website.
The 22-year-old will be the 'first player signed as Spurs coach Andre Villas Boas-head in a £ 8,000,000 deal.
Sigurdsson deemed to have accepted a salary package worth £ 50,000 per week after the Spurs to fight competition from Liverpool.
The Reds are in pole position to sign Sigurdsson as the player appears keen to reunite with Brendan Rodgers, with whom he worked in Swansea during the lent season.
But Tottenham made a step for the former Reading man and agreed to a deal in principle last week.
Sigurdsson scored seven goals last season in 19 appearances for Swansea and are eager to return to the Premier League.
Swans had agreed personal terms for a permanent move Sigurdsson but their hopes ended when Rodgers set to take over at Anfield.
