Rui Patricio: Portugal Euro 2012 draw is hard

Portugal and Sporting CP goalkeeper Rui Patricio has admitted that his team are in for a challenge after receiving a difficult Euro 2012 draw, but affirmed that they would give everything to make the quarter-final stage. The Iberian side will meet Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands in Group B of the competition. Patricios recognised that making the last-eight would not be an easy endeavour, but trusts the ability and commitment of his team-mates to make the tournament a successful one.

"It is a tough group, but then again that was inevitable. Every team is a good one," the 23-year-old, capped nine times by his nation, told A Bola.

"Every game is a test. We will give everything to win and we shouldn't fear any of our adversaries. We are going there to win." Portugal begin their Euro 2012 campaign with a clash with Germany on June 9, before finishing the group stage against Denmark and the Netherlands. [Goal.com]
