I learn a lot from Xavi & Andres Iniesta - Barcelona's Thiago Alcantara
Barcelona youngster Thiago Alcantara has hailed the positive influence of teammates Andres Iniesta and Xavi and has made it clear that he learns a lot from the imperious Spanish duo.
The 20-year-old has been struggling to secure regular first team football at Camp Nou due to the stiff competition for places in midfield, but Alcantara feels that training alongside Xavi and Iniesta helps him a lot in his development.
"Playing alongside them really is a joy. You always know that whatever happens they are always available and ready to receive the ball. They make life so much easier for you," Alcantara said to Sport.
"They know exactly when to move and when not to make a run. They're always willing to help you out and tell you when you're not doing something right."
Alcantara then briefly discussed the possible arrival of Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas at the Catalan club and made it clear that both midfielders are compatible.
"Of course I want to play a lot, but Fabregas is a great colleague and he'd be a superb signing for Barcelona. I believe that every player is compatible with another player."
