Stramaccioni: Juventus & AC Milan games good test for Europa League

The Nerazzurri recorded a 1-0 win against the Serie A champions and a 2-1 triumph over AC Milan to claim the pre-season title for the third year in succession, and their coach was happy with the team's preparations for the new campaign.

"Unlike Juventus and AC Milan, we have to make sure we're ready before the season begins," Stramaccioni stated to the official Inter website. "That's why we're working so hard and I can say that these matches were a good test for the upcoming Europa League games."

The 36-year-old then went on to admit that his side failed to cope with the Old Lady in the opening phase of the game, but praised his players for their response.

"As a team Juventus are perhaps more used to playing together but after the first 10 minutes, in which we struggled, we found our feet and started to look dangerous."

The first leg of Inter's Europa League third-round qualifier is on August 2.
