David Beckham Arrives in Jakarta
LA Galaxy football star David Beckham arrived in Jakarta on Monday morning. According to Detik.com, Beckham was warmly welcomed by local celebrity Syahrini at The Ritz Carlton hotel. She welcomed Beckham with a flower lei. “I’m very happy that I could meet and greet David Beckham as he arrived here,” Syahrini said. The LA Galaxy team arrived with its other stars including Landon Donovan and Robbie Keane. They will play a friendly match against a combination of Indonesia’s Under-23 team and senior national team at Bung Karno Stadium on Wednesday. The Jakarta visit is part of LA Galaxy’s Herbalife Asia Pacific Tour 2011. Promoters are offering 76,000 tickets, which have been on sale since Nov. 4. The cheapest tickets are Category 3, which cost Rp 75,000 ($8) per seat. Category 2 seats cost Rp 150,000 and Category 1 seats cost Rp 250,000.
