Bologna's Emiliano Viviano considering Roma move

Bologna goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano has left the door open for a potential summer switch to Roma or Genoa.

The 25-year-old has been in superb form this season, helping Bologna avoid relegation while also becoming a regular fixture in the Italian national team.

Viviano is currently co-owned by Inter but recognises his chances at San Siro could be limited due to the presence of Julio Cesar, and believes a move elsewhere may be the best option.

"Bologna and Inter need to talk, but I think a solution can be found. If an important opportunity should arise, I hope to take it, especially as that would allow Bologna to bring some money in," the keeper told Italian media.

"It's true that while Julio Cesar is at Inter, they cannot have Viviano. However, it's not true that I refuse to be an understudy for the Nerazzuri."

"I am aware that clubs like Roma and Genoa are interested. I am prepared to move on loan if needs be."

Viviano has made 39 appearances for Bologna this season, making 140 saves in the process.
